Chico & Breezie - NO FEE (Sponsored by the Martin County West 4th Graders)'s Story

Would you like to hear a tale filled with heartache and an unbreakable bond? That is the tale of Chico and Breezie...

Back at the start of 2025 is where our story with these two begins. Breezie had been locked and abandoned in a basement with her puppies. For how long we are not sure but long enough for Breezie and her babies to be malnourished. She tried to keep them going but it pains me to say that one passed away by the time they were all found. You may be wondering where Chico was in these dire circumstances. He had been locked outside the house. He was able to run away to find food but he did not. He stayed. He knew Breezie was inside and would not go anywhere without her. Luckily they were found and brought in so they could receive the care they were all in desperate need of.

Where are they now? Still here. Still waiting for a home that can show them the love and compassion they more than deserve. It is difficult placing bonded pairs in a home. One dog is a lot of responsibility, let alone two. But believe us when we say these two are BONDED. Chico would be lost without Breezie. Initially we had tried to separate them but all he wants is to be with her. That is all he has ever wanted. We cannot, in good conscience, part these two. Breezie brings out the best in Chico and he will always remain at her side.

ADOPTION FEE $260.00 (cash or check) However, my adoption fee has been sponsored by the Martin County West 4th graders! Thank you so much!

Potential adopters are required to fill out an adoption application. To go to the adoption application, scroll down and click on the "MORE ABOUT US" button then click on "ADOPTION APPLICATION". Thank you!

Please note it does take several days to process an adoption application and to determine approval status. Your patience is appreciated.
