Chico's Story

Chico is a sweet, sensitive boy who has already come so far! When he first arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender, he was extremely frightened and had never even been walked on a leash. With patience and kindness, Chico proved himself to be an incredibly fast and willing learner-within just one day, he began accepting the leash and going for walks!

Chico can be shy when he first meets someone and may cower when he's unsure, but once he realizes you're safe and kind, he absolutely blossoms. He becomes affectionate, enthusiastic, and so excited to be your friend.

He's also very dog friendly! Chico thrived in foster care with three other dogs of different sizes-a large male, medium female, and small female-and has done wonderfully around other dogs.

His foster has been showing him how much fun life can be! Chico has gone to the beach, walked around town, and even attended Bingo at a local establishment. He's learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all, and now he's ready for a patient, loving family to continue showing him just how good life can be.
