Chico's Story

Chico is a tiny 15-year-old Chihuahua with a big heart packed into his 4-pound frame. He was deeply loved by his original family, who made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to surrender him when circumstances changed.

This sweet little gentleman still enjoys the simple things in life: cozy naps, mealtimes, leisurely strolls outside, and following his favorite people from room to room. He'll even let you know when it's time to head outside for a potty break. Every now and then, he gets a little pep in his step that reminds everyone age is just a number.

Like many senior dogs, Chico's hearing and vision aren't perfect, but he gets around quite well. He's used to being carried up and down stairs and currently eats prescription wet food due to a history of bladder stones.

Chico can be startled by active dogs racing around him, but he's comfortable with other dogs once he's had time to settle in and get acquainted. Because of this, a quiet adult-only home would be his ideal match.

If you're looking for a devoted companion who asks for little more than love, comfort, and a soft place to nap, Chico may be the perfect addition to your family.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1.
