Hi there! I’m Chico!
I’m 18 months old and a chihuahua mix. I think with some terrier! I only weigh about 12 pounds and I’m full grown at this stage in the game. Now let me tell you a little about myself! I’m full of energy and lots of love, I’m ready for all the cuddles & adventures. What a perfect combo! If we’re being honest though I appreciate the snuggling a bit more, I really love to follow my humans around and jump into their arms to be held! I just need a specific home with lots of dog experience and knowledge to complete my life!
One of my favorite activities is chasing after a tennis ball! And guess what? I even bring it back! How smart am I! It’s one of my special talents if I do say so myself. I’m not a huge fan of playing with other dogs, I guess you could say I’m more of a loner then a dogs dog but here and there you’ll catch me playing with another pup. I can easily co exist with other doggos if needed! Currently my foster home has quite a few of them and we all get along just fine.
Want to hear something even better about me? I’m house trained! You read that right, you won’t have to worry about accidents! When it’s time to chill I like to go to my crate to relax, I think that’s my safe space and I enjoy down time as well. Truthfully I want to be with my people as much as possible. I love being in your lap and just all over you any chance I get. Sometimes I have been told I don’t always know what personal space is! That’s okay that just means more lovings for you!
Sadly, an older women had to surrender me because she wasn’t able to give me the life I deserved, she was so sad and so was I. Now all I can think about is having a family that’ll never give up on me. I do have some quirks though that I think you should know about. I am a bit scared of hard wood floors, carpets make me feel much more safe! My previous home only ever had carpets. I’m working hard on learning how to walk on them and I’ve made big improvements! Lastly I can have a little resource guarding over really special things, like bones. My foster mom has worked with me and it’s vety manageable! I just need to be away from other dogs f I get these high value items! Toys don’t count though, I absolutely love to play tug!
