Meet Chico
Life is hard when all you have ever known is gone.
At 12 years young, this guy found himself at a kill shelter. It's hard being a 5 pound guy in a big scary world. Your walls are up, but can you blame a guy? This tiny Prince does all he can to protect himself from everyone. He sure makes a huge fuss to let you know that he has a family out there, and he isn't looking for a new one. He growls and acts 100 pounds.
As he sits in his foster home with the belief that they will come back for him. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
Chico is a deserving guy. He just doesn't understand why 12 years of loyalty left him alone and scared. He needs a patient family who will work with him, on his own terms, and let him learn to love again. He loves to be held and carried around once he knows you, and doesn't really mind other dogs who leave him alone. He would do best in a home with no kids as if he feels the need to protect himself he can be snappy. He is looking for a family who will never let him down again.
