Chicken Egg Roll's Story

Chicken Egg Roll was recently adopted but returned after showing off his clever escape-artist skills! If left alone for too long, he may dig or find a way out of a fenced yard, so he'll need a secure setup, supervision, and enrichment to keep him happy.
He's a friendly, affectionate boy who does well with dogs and kids. He is good with cats, though he can be a bit nervous around them at first. Chicken Egg Roll is housebroken and crate trained-he did whine briefly when first crated but settled after a few minutes. While he isn't a fan of being left alone for long periods, he warmed up quickly in his foster home once he felt comfortable.
He walks well on a leash, though he may get excited when other animals are nearby, and he enjoys going for car rides. Once he trusts you, he's a total cuddle bug who loves affection and being close to his people.
Chicken Egg Roll is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm negative.
If you're looking for a loving, social companion with a big heart-and a little extra cleverness-Chicken Egg Roll might be the perfect match!

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
