Chicken

Chicken and his brother Rooster (Roo for short) were born on the streets and lived their first 6 months as feral dogs trying to make it on their own. We have no idea what happened to their mom. Animal Control picked them both up as stray puppies and brought them to the shelter. As you can imagine, they were terrified of humans and the shelter environment, so a call went out to rescue. When they first came into their foster home, Roo let out a scream none of us had heard before, pancaked himself and hid under the stove. Chicken hid under a chair and they booth trembled. <br/><br/>Within 4 days of being in foster, both puppies began to open up and crave human affection. They now love toys, treats and cuddling. They are currently in a home with four senior dogs and get along fine. They have not been introduced to cats or children, but I put good with children because I can’t imagine them not being sweet if the children treat them respectfully. <br/><br/>Chicken is more outgoing than his shy brother Roo. He is the leader of the two and more willing to come up to people. He is also the instigator in most of the puppy shenanigans. Chicken loves to roll on his back and get belly rubs. His foster mom says he has one of the most adorable puppy personalities that she has ever encountered. <br/><br/>Both are crate trained. <br/><br/>Chicken and Roo are extremely bonded and need to go into a home together. Our adoption fee is $300 total for both dogs.
