Chibi's Story

True to her name (which means small, cute, and childlike in Japanese), Chibi is first and foremost cute, cute, and cute—but she’s also a big personality in a little body. She may be a bit shy at first, but she warms up quickly and becomes an affectionate, social cuddlebug who loves people and most dogs. She enjoys being picked up, snuggled, and included in whatever her humans are doing.

Chibi is incredibly smart for her age and learns by watching the other dogs in her foster home. She loves toys of all kinds—fetch, tug, and playful wrestling are her favorites—and would be thrilled to have another small, young dog to play and roughhouse with. She’s polite around food, crate-trained, does well when left alone, and happily sleeps in her crate at night with no fuss.

Outside, Chibi is curious, confident, and very alert to the world around her (especially birds, squirrels, and mysterious noises only she can hear!). She walks well on a harness, enjoys being outdoors, and is right on track with house training for her age. Busy adoption events can be overwhelming for her, but in a calmer setting her sweet, playful, loving personality truly shines.

Interested in adopting this dog?
Visit our website (http://www.SecondCityCanineRescue.org) to fill out an application and to find out where this dog may be shown this weekend.

We love our dogs.
