Chewy's Story

Meet Chewy!

He’s an 18 month old Chewy mix. We are unsure what the mix is. He was surrendered to our rescue due to a divorce and Chewy needing a yard, not an apartment.

Chewy loves other dogs! He is very playful and enjoys running around, playing chase, wrestling and so forth. He does have a moderate to high amount of energy. He would do best with another dog with the same energy needs. We suspect he may be annoying to a low energy dog who enjoys to just relax.

We are told that Chewy needs work on potty training, but so far he’s done well in his foster home.

When it comes to the crate, Chewy will tolerate it, but doesn’t prefer it for too long. He does sleep in the crate when foster mom is away and during the night.

He enjoys going for car rides!

As far as kiddos, he lived with a 2 year old and 11 year old and did great with both.

To fill out an application visit our website at sianimalrescue.org.

Chewy has an adoption fee of $300. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, dewormed, current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives and had a recent grooming due to minimal matting. He doesn’t need groomed often, but will need touch ups!
