Chewy's Story

Meet Chewy, or Stanley Chewchi, as his foster moms lovingly like to call him

Chewy is an estimated 12-year-old and 8.5lb Chihuahua who isn’t a day over 5 in his mind. He came to us from a loving home where, due to his owner’s major medical diagnosis, he was faced with the difficult but necessary choice to rehome Chewy.

Chewy is the best boy. He does great in the car, walks well on leash, is crate-trained and potty-trained, and loves other dogs and (confident) cats. He’s also kid-friendly. He’s a big snuggle bug, and every night he burrows under the blankets to achieve his natural form - a doggy burrito.

Chewy would really benefit from a forever family that works from home, can take him to the office, or can take him out and about with them. He’s a velcro dog and loves to be with his people.

At the time of adoption, Chewy will go home with his crate, bed, and a few other essentials. He just had a dental with our rescue and bloodwork as well. To adopt, please copy the link below and paste it into your browser to submit an adoption application or visit www.sfmuttrescue.org . Current pets in home must be altered and current on vetting and prevention.

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SFMR/Dog
