Chesty's Story
Meet Chesty!

Chesty is a 5-year-old neutered mixed-breed Pit Bull with a heart as big as his 65-pound frame. He recently lost his owner unexpectedly and endured an incredibly difficult week alone without food or water before he was rescued. Because of that experience, he can be anxious when left alone at first, but once he learns that you'll always come back, he settles in and relaxes. He's currently kennel trained and is making great progress.

This sweet boy absolutely loves people. He thinks he's a lap dog, enjoys nothing more than cuddling with his foster humans, and will happily lounge with you in a hammock on a nice day. Chesty is friendly, affectionate, and eager to be part of the family.

He's also a smart dog who is very food motivated, making him a joy to train. He's picking up new skills quickly and is eager to learn, especially when treats are involved. Understandably

Chesty gets along well with other dogs, including small dogs. We aren't sure how he does with small children or cats since he has not been exposed to them with his foster family. At 65 pounds, he's a strong dog, so he'll do best with someone comfortable handling a large, powerful companion and committed to continuing his training.

More than anything, Chesty is looking for a patient, loving person who understands that he's adjusting after a major loss. Give him a little time, and you'll be rewarded with one of the sweetest, most loyal companions you could ask for.

If you're looking for a cuddly best friend and are ready to give a very deserving dog a second chance, Chesty is waiting to meet you. He's a super good boy with a goofy personality, a big heart, and so much love left to give.
www.fureverhomerescue.com
