Chessie's Story

Chessie, short for Chestnut, is a 4-year-old brindle beauty with a heart as warm as her name. She was found roaming the streets as a stray, and despite her sweet nature, no one ever came to claim her. Fortunately, our board members met her at the Jackson shelter and were instantly smitten by her affectionate personality and charming energy.

Now, Chessie is ready for a fresh start with a family who will never let her down again. She’s loving, playful, and happiest when she’s leaning in for snuggles. Her big heart and even bigger enthusiasm are sure to brighten every day.

Chessie would do best in a home with children 10 years or older and without cats. She should avoid chew toys since she tends to get a little too excited about them, and she’ll need slow introductions with other dogs due to her high energy. She’ll thrive with someone who can provide ongoing training and consistent structure to help her shine.

Chessie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She’s currently in boarding, and our volunteers are helping her get home-ready while she waits for her forever cuddle buddy.

If interested, please apply at pittiesandpals.com.

Many other dogs need our help, please consider donating or sponsoring a dog, if possible.

100% of all money received from adoption fees and donations goes directly back to support saving other dogs through Pitties and Pals Rescue.
