Meet Cheryl Mystery
Mystery has been trying to tell us her story since she joined the Paw Squad family just before Thanksgiving.
Her owner fell ill and she was not reclaimed. She had to exit the shelter fast before the Holiday.
Her history is all in her eyes, she is grieving her family and wants to know what happened. She also displays a behavior of "I have a name". Yet after about 100 tries, we couldn't figure it out.
She is now answering to Mystery aka Mystery Girl and Mystery Date. She is still learning to rebuild her confidence but is wanting to bond with people and find herself again. She can shake, use a dog door and sit. She is starting to play with toys and will sleep in a xpen at night as long as her people are home.
She is still experiencing separation anxiety when her foster family leaves, but this should improve with a steady, confident family who can also include her in activities. Stress is causing some belly aches but should improve once she finds her dog self again. Sometimes she is fearful to go outside but is improving. Mystery is very fearful of fireworks.
Based on her behavior with feral cats, we recommend a home with no cats and other dogs who are easy going.
Mystery likes hug and place her face against her foster mom.
