Cherry's Story

Hi Cherry,

This lovely girl is an approx. 5 year old labrdoodle. She was surrendered to our care from a commercial breeder in Lancaster when they no longer wanted her for breeding. She is approx. 49 lbs.

Cherry came to us in horrible shape so it is no surprise that she was pretty timid. Despite that, she is very sweet. She clearly really wants to be with people. We are so incredibly proud of her and how well she has been doing since coming to us at the rescue. She is becoming more and more social with our volunteers, even coming up on her own to give us kisses! She is a brave little girl that clearly is starting to blossom now that her breeding days are gone.

Having at home a social, friendly dog would greatly ease her transition and help her model positive, good behaviors.

She would need to meet any resident dogs.

She will come with vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and 4dx tested. In the pictures you can see some bold spots in her fur - they are from being kept in too small of a cage and rubbed off on the cage's sides. At this time, it is unknown if the fur will ever come back, following such a prolonged time of being rubbed. While she does not need any additional care for the spots, it is a possibility that she may never regrow the fur back.

If you are serious about adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $475.

Phoenix Animal Rescue
Chester Springs, Pa
Kennel License #5152
