Cherry Blossom's Story

My name is Cherry Blossom, I’m one year old, and I’m ready for adoption! I have a moderate energy level. I can easily spend an entire day sleeping snuggled up to my human on the couch in front of the TV. Of course, I’m also very smart! I learn very quickly, so my basic obedience is already quite solid when there are no distractions around.

I’m crate trained and can spend several hours in my crate without being too vocal. I stay there when I’m home alone because I tend to nibble on anything left within reach. I also love playing with balls!

I’m generally house-trained, but I may have excitement or fear-related accidents when visitors come over. I likely missed out on proper socialization, as many things still stress me out. I’m naturally anxious and need ongoing support to help me with this.

Food is a huge motivator for me, which makes learning new things easier. I’m also very good during nail trims. I’m extremely comfortable during car rides, and I would absolutely love going on hikes in the woods. Overall, I’m a dog who is very bonded to my human—I’m always underfoot and incredibly affectionate and clingy.

I’m looking for a country home, as I’m not comfortable walking in the city, even though I do enjoy walks. I also get unsettled when people visit the house, so I need a home with minimal visitors. I need a human with strong knowledge of canine behaviour who understands that I must continue my behavioural therapy to thrive. I am currently on medication to support this.

Mission Mayday will provide behavioural support to my adoptive family to help us start our life together on the right foot. The team says I have great potential, but I need a lot of socialization to catch up. I’ve experienced many changes recently, so what I truly need now is stability and someone willing to continue the amazing work started by my foster mom.

Would you take on this beautiful challenge with me?
