Chef's Story
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Chef, a charming little character who is part potato, part loaf of bread, and 100% lovable.

Chef is an approximately 11-year-old, 20-pound Corgi mix with a big personality packed into a very compact package. He is sweet, loyal, loving, devoted, and just the right amount of cantankerous. He knows what he likes, he knows what he doesn't like, and he is not shy about sharing his opinions.

Chef absolutely loves his person. He wants to be wherever you are, follow you from room to room, hang out at your feet, and curl up next to you at the end of the day. He is a true companion dog who wants to be part of your life rather than simply living alongside it.

And don't let that senior status fool you. Chef is not ready to retire from his adventures! Daily walks are a must for this little guy. He loves getting outside to explore, sniff everything, chase lizards and birds, and make sure the neighborhood is still operating properly. A secure yard would be a wonderful bonus for him, but it doesn't replace his daily walks. An apartment would not be his ideal setup.

Chef can be a little cautious about new people and may be grumpy with some men at first. Fortunately, Chef is a firm believer in the healing power of snacks, and food generally goes a long way toward getting on his good side. He does best with slow introductions and people who understand that some relationships are worth taking a little time to build.

Chef would do best in a home without small children, cats, or other small animals such as rabbits, hamsters, or birds. He generally does well with small dogs, although he can be possessive of his toys. He could be happy as an only dog or with the right canine companion.

Chef is looking for someone who can spend plenty of time with him. He is not a fan of being left alone for long stretches and would love a person who enjoys having a loyal little shadow around the house.

At 11, Chef is officially a senior, but he's still got places to go, things to investigate, and adventures to have. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and recently had a dental cleaning.

Chef has been waiting a long time for his person. He is looking for someone who appreciates an older dog with a huge personality, enjoys a devoted companion, respects his boundaries, and understands that a little bit of grumpiness is simply part of the Chef experience.

And if you happen to have snacks?

Well. Chef is willing to reconsider his position.

Chef is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita, and Catalina only.

Adoption fee: $275 + $21 PACC licensing fee.

Please fill out an adoption application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com to meet Chef!

*Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.
