Cheese's Story

Hi, I’m Cheese — and after over a year in rescue, I’m finally ready to find my forever people!

I’m about 2 years old and currently thriving in a board and train program with my rescue’s head trainer. I’ve grown into a confident, goofy, and incredibly smart girl who’s eager to be part of someone’s everyday life. Crate trained? Check. Potty trained? Absolutely. Calm in the house, playful in the yard, and even treadmill trained for those rainy days? You bet.

I can still be a little reserved around new people at first — especially if you move fast or don’t give me time to warm up. But with just a little patience and a calm intro, I’ll show you the silly, affectionate, bright-eyed girl my foster and trainer see every day.

Here’s what else makes me special:

? I do amazing with other dogs and shine in homes with confident, social pups

? I love training, thrive on structure, and I’m even crushing muzzle work — a skill every dog should have

? I’m fully crate trained, house trained, and know how to settle beautifully

? I’ve done great with kids of all ages in both foster and training, but we’re looking for a dog-savvy household or one where respectful kid-dog interactions will be consistently taught and reinforced

? I’m joyful, playful, and will absolutely keep you smiling

I may not be the dog who wants to meet everyone right away — but once you’re in my circle, I’m yours. If you're patient, committed, and ready for a dog who’ll love you deeply, I just might be your perfect match.

? Apply to adopt me at www.thepittieprojectpnw.org/apply
