Cheeka's Story

Cheeka – A Resilient, Athletic Beauty Ready for Her Next Chapter

Cheeka is a one-year-old mixed-breed female who’s come a long way from her northern roots in Nunavut. After lovingly raising her puppies; Littlefoot, Shadow, and Ducky, all now adopted, it’s finally Cheeka’s turn to find the forever home she deserves.

Cheeka weighs approximately 45 pounds and is a friendly, affectionate, and intelligent dog with a curious spirit and an independent streak. She’s house and crate trained, can be handled with ease by people she knows, and is a great passenger in the car. Everything in her new world is fresh and exciting, and she’s soaking it all in with wide eyes and a brave heart.

She’s currently learning to walk politely on leash, and while she can be reactive to dogs she sees on walks, she’s making steady progress with exposure and confidence-building. With proper introductions, she does well with familiar dogs and enjoys their company. She hasn’t been tested with children yet, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids would be ideal.

Cheeka is athletic and energetic, and would thrive in a home that can offer her structure, continued training, and plenty of opportunities to explore. She’s working hard to learn not to pull on leash or bark at passersby, and with consistent guidance, she’ll grow into the confident, well-rounded companion she’s meant to be.

If you’re looking for a loyal, adventurous dog who’s ready to bond deeply and blossom with the right support, Cheeka is waiting to meet you.
