Cheech's Story

***In addition to being available for adoption in Georgia, Cheech can be transported to New Jersey and adopted at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes over the Dec 20-21 weekend. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Cheech and/or our adoption process should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the rescue's number.***

Cheech and his buddy, Chong-a young Shepherd mix, were found as strays at a hunting club. After no one claimed ownership and unable to find another immediately solution for the two dogs, SoCo Rescue was contacted and asked to help. With assistance from the Dublin-Laurens Co. Humane Society, Cheech and Chong were kept safe and secure until we could get them in.

To say that Cheech is a very mellow fellow would be an understatement. In fact, he's a little shy ant first, but that doesn't deter him from making new friends very quickly. He plays well with other dogs and was unresponsive when cat tested. He will require additional house and leash training, but seems to be an eager learner.

Cheech has been neutered, heartworm tested (neg.), received an update on all of his annual vaccinations and de-wormings as well as started and kept on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
