Chata's Story
Our Rescue conducts adoptions by appointment only. We are currently closed to the public. We have many animals to care for daily, and are facing a shortage of volunteers. Consequently, adoptions must be scheduled by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, don't hesitate to contact us by leaving a message or texting us at 909-721-8123. We will respond as soon as possible.

Chata's story started two years ago when she was born into an environment that didn’t allow her to be out of a cage. She spent the first two years of her life caged by her previous owners. Thankfully, our rescue was able to convince her previous family to surrender Chata to our care. She was so matted that her little butt area was filled with dry, compacted poop, and when she was finally groomed, her poor anus was swollen and painful. After grooming, she felt much better. Her back left leg was injured over a year ago when she was in her previous home. According to the family that surrendered her, she was attacked by another dog. They never took her to the vet, so her leg healed. Most of the time, she walks normally, but every so often, she picks that little leg up and gets around on three legs with ease. It really shows her resilience, personality, and will to survive. This 6-pound bundle of joy wants nothing more than human companionship. She is currently in our cat room, gets along great with all our kitties, and does well with dogs. She does a dance every time she sees you, like it’s the first time she’s seen you in years. She gives kisses, likes being on your lap, and has a beautiful personality. She is grateful for the change in her life. We want to find her a home where she will be spoiled and treated like a princess. To learn more or to adopt please visit our website at torescue.org to download an Adoption application for Chata.

Our dogs are or will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed.
