Chase's Story
Chase is one of those dogs who wakes up every day assuming the world is friendly, snacks are coming, and someone nearby would probably like a kiss. And honestly? He’s usually right.

Chase is a young mixed-breed pup with a confident, social, easygoing personality and a face that knows exactly how handsome it is. He greets people immediately, loves attention, and has never met a stranger he didn’t think was a potential best friend. If you’re sitting down, he’s already there. If you’re standing, he’s considering kisses anyway.

He’s the kind of dog who feels easy to be around. Confident without being pushy, affectionate without being overwhelming, and friendly without needing constant hype. Chase reads the room well and moves through new environments with curiosity instead of nerves — more “what’s over here?” than “absolutely not.”

Training with Chase is refreshingly simple. He’s eager to please, learns quickly with consistency and patience, and responds beautifully to gentle guidance. He’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and settles easily in his crate — entering willingly and hanging out calmly like it’s no big deal. Correction and redirection? No drama. He adjusts, refocuses, and carries on being a good boy.

Socially, Chase shines. He loves other dogs, shares toys and food without issue, and plays in a balanced, respectful way. He enjoys wrestling, chasing, and tug-of-war, but he’s not overbearing about it. He’s confident enough to be an only dog, but would also be very happy having a dog friend to play with.

His energy level lands in that sweet middle zone — happy to enjoy daily walks, backyard playtime, toys, and sticks he finds outside, then equally happy to wind down with a warm bath and a nap like he’s earned it. He doesn’t have prey drive, doesn’t bolt for doors, and doesn’t use his mouth inappropriately. What you see is what you get: a kind, lovable, well-rounded pup.

Chase would be a great match for first-time dog owners, experienced dog people, or anyone who wants a dog who fits into life without making it complicated. He adapts well, loves people, loves dogs, and brings a steady, joyful presence wherever he goes.

If you’re looking for a dog who’s affectionate, friendly, trainable, and genuinely enjoys being part of a home — Chase is ready. And yes, the kisses are included.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://petsave.formstack.com/forms/petsave_adoption_application

+++++++

Chase is a Texas boy who is currently being fostered in Gloucester City, NJ with his wonderful foster parents and his litter mate, Rudy! Chase is available for adoption in all north eastern states and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports each week!

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
