Chase's Story

Meet Chase, our handsome snow-snacking adventurer with a heart as big as his paws. This sweet guy spent months on his own before some kind humans convinced him that couches, kindness, and regular meals are pretty great ideas. Now he is thriving in his foster home and soaking up the good life.

Chase is energetic, curious, and deeply committed to the art of eating snow. He is a polite housemate who goes into his crate on cue when you say “in” and will let you know when it is time for a potty break. He does not bark much, but he may offer a little whine now and then when he misses being close to his people. Saying “let’s go in” usually sends him trotting right to the door like a pro.

He knows “sit” and “shake,” and he understands “stay,” though he prefers that you not wander too far away because together is his favorite place to be. Chase gets along well with other dogs. Small dogs that bark at him can make him a bit shy, so slow introductions are best.

Chase would love a home where he can run, explore, and maybe discover a passion for fetch. Fair warning, snow, interesting smells, or the joy of running itself may steal his focus from time to time. Priorities. ❤️

Chase is a young adult, large-sized dog with a playful spirit and a gentle soul. If you are ready to meet a loyal companion who will keep life fun and occasionally crunchy with snow, please submit an application to meet Chase.

Ashland Animal Rescue Fund's Adoption Policy
AARF is an all volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to saving the lives of last chance animals. Most of the animals we save are from tri-state shelters and animal control facilities. We don't operate a "traditional" shelter, although we do have a facility where we house animals awaiting adoption, transport to other no-kill rescue groups and those awaiting their chance to enter a foster home. We are a strict NO KILL operation.
