Chase's Story

Please read entire description. Chase's adoption fee is $150. Chase would prefer a home with a dog buddy and a fenced yard! Read more about his personality below. Please apply at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting as a first step of the adoption process.

Chase is a 9-10 month old teenager looking for a forever home. He is a medium size, full grown, and weighs about 45 pounds. He is likely a mix of shepherd/lab and some some other cute things. He has a sweet, curious personality and loves to snuggle. He has always been in a home with other playful dogs and will need a dog buddy in the home. He is good with dogs of all sizes. He has not had experience with cats, but we think he would do fine with a slow introduction. He is gentle with people, good with children, and takes treats gently. He knows some commands and is used to a fenced yard. He is crate trained and house trained. Chase loves to sleep on the bed with his humans at night and will sometimes sleep under the bed. When he settles into his spot, he gives a tiny sigh, which just melts your heart. After he romps, chases and play wiht his friends outside, he will often come over to his human and ask for some cuddles and massages on your lap. He usually has the one ear up and one ear down situation happening.

Chase still has some bad ideas from time to time, he is a teenager after all and still has a lot to learn! Fortunately, a lot of his puppy antics seem to be behind him. His new family will still likely need to puppy proof and keep shoes put away. Chase has not had a lot of exposure with walking on leash and is a little timid. He is a quick learner so far.

Chase is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on heartworm preventative. If interested, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. His adoption fee is $150.
