Chase's Story

Chase is a handsome Irish Greyhound. He’s an older, black male. We cannot let him fall into the ‘black dog syndrome’ — keep reading and let’s find him a home!
Chase is in foster in Longwood, Florida. His foster mom used to work at a Greyhound adoption kennel and has fostered/adopted for 30 years. She says “Chase is likely the easiest foster we’ve had in 30 years.”

More from his foster family: “He is super calm from the very beginning and generally a happy-go-lucky boy. His tail is constantly wagging. He eats very well and loves his treats. Very food motivated. He's a big fan of other dogs and squeak toys. He is fascinated by the TV. He's already learned to leave trash cans alone and that all food may not be his. He checks with you. He is housebroken and has already learned to ring a bell by the back door when he needs to go outside. He did not damage anything while we left him, looks like he just slept in our absence. He hasn’t gotten on the bed or couch yet. Chase just rocks”

Chase was born September 4, 2018 making him 7 years young. He’s a very well-behaved, distinguished gentleman. Chase has not been cat tested. He has lived with children and other breeds of dogs in Ireland and did very well. He’d make a great family dog, dog for a first time Greyhound adopter, dog to take places with you since he’s so social and friendly. He’d fit in anywhere!

Can cat test if needed.
