Charmaine's Story

Hi, I'm Charmaine

I'm a five-year-old, 6-pound Yorkshire Terrier with a tiny body and a tender heart. The big, bright world can still feel a little scary to me sometimes, so I'll need a very patient, gentle family to keep showing me that love is safe and forever.

Because I'm such a delicate little lady (in both size and spirit), I'll do best in a home without children. Sudden movements and loud noises can make me nervous. What I really need is a calm environment where I can move at my own pace and continue building my confidence.

I could be perfectly happy as your one and only princess, soaking up all your love. But I'd also do well with another small, friendly dog who can help show me how to "dog." Having a calm canine companion can be reassuring for me.

I'm spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all my shots, so I'm ready to start my new life with my forever family.

I'm a great eater (no picky princess here!), and I'm doing well with potty training. Since I'm still learning, a little regression might happen as I adjust to a new home - but with patience and consistency, I'll keep improving. I sleep beautifully in bed at night and would be happiest next to you. I also do well when left alone in a small, cozy space.

Once I feel safe, you'll see my true personality shine. I'm a total cuddle bug who loves to be close to my person. I have the sweetest little bursts of playful energy, followed by plenty of time curled up in your lap.

More than anything, I'm looking for someone who understands that healing takes time. If you have a gentle heart, a quiet home, and room in your life for a little dog who will love you with everything she has, I just might be your girl.

Love, Charmaine

Kennel License #9117
Reading, PA 19608
