CHARLOTTE's Story

Meet Charlotte ( A565319), a senior looking for a loving home This sweet senior lady found herself in our shelter after being picked up as a stray. It is hard to believe she does not have someone out there missing her. Charlotte is polite, well mannered, and carries herself like a girl who has known a couch before. She has quickly made friends with every staff member here and soaks up attention like she has been waiting for it all day. At 7 years old, Charlotte knows exactly who she is. She is social with people, loves affection, and will happily hang out by your side. Other dogs, though? Absolutely not her thing. Charlotte is looking for a home where she can be the one and only. No other dogs, no other animals. Just her and her people. We know senior dogs already face an uphill battle when it comes to adoption. Add in needing to be the only pet, and the circle gets even smaller; but we also know there is someone out there with a quiet home and a soft spot for a seasoned girl who just wants her own space and her own family. Now, let us talk about her favorite thing in the world: Treats. Charlotte is a total foodie. She will sit nicely on command and can even catch treats right out of the air like a pro. If loving snacks were an Olympic sport, she would bring home the gold. No dog deserves to spend their golden years in a shelter kennel. If you have a pet free home and room in your heart for a loyal, treat loving best friend, please come meet Charlotte. She is ready to trade kennel life for couch life and we would love nothing more than to see her walk out the door with her forever family. Charlotte is guesstimated to be 7 years old and weighs 48 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative. Ready to meet Charlotte? Just stop by our shelter and head to our dog areas. You can find her in kennel D46. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID.
