Charlotte's Story

Hi everyone! My name is CHARLOTTE.
I was seen wandering the farmfields. I was VERY skinny and scared of the people stopping and trying to help me. My friends at Rhodie’s gained my trust and were able to trap me and get me safe.
I’ve been staying with my foster family on a ranch with lots of other dogs and horses and cats too. I’ve gotten more and more confident every day. I will still need my new family to go slow with me while I learn to trust them and get comfortable in my new home. I’m much more confident when I’m with my doggie friends, and since I’m still very young and active, my new home should definitely have a young, outgoing and playful doggie companion for me.
If my family is active with running, hiking, or long walks that would a great release for my puppy energy too!
I’m not fond of being in a crate, but I do fine being in a dog kennel if I have to be contained for any length of time. I love to be outside in the back yard too where I can run/play or just sunbathe! I currently sleep on a dog bed in my kennel at night.
I am housetrained and I am doing well with my leash training too.
I’ve been curious but okay with outdoor cats.
Because I still am timid with strangers and loud noises, it’s best my new home does not have young children and that any child in the home is calm and able to understand my needs and personality and won’t scare me.
My adoption fee is $300 which includes current health examination and vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical or dental deemed necessary by my veterinarian.
