Charlie's Story

Meet Charlie, a 2-3 year old terrier with the sweetest disposition and loving personality. He weighs 14 lbs, is neutered and vaccinated.

This precious boy will steal your heart fast with sweet kisses and cuddles. He has such a fun and playful personality on top of being such a lover boy. He absolutely loves other dogs and would love to have another dog his size to play and hang with. Charlie is hilarious with his toys, he tosses them around if you don’t...he’s pretty easy to entertain. This boy lovessss to play fetch with his mini tennis balls!

Charlie is young, but he has already endured more than any dog should. When he was found, our vet believes he had been neglected for six months to a year. His body was hidden beneath painful mats that took hours to remove. But underneath it all... was the sweetest little soul just waiting to be seen.

Despite everything he’s been through, he is still loving, and endlessly forgiving. He melts into your arms when you hold him and looks up at you with the softest eyes — the kind that say “thank you” without a single word. He just wants to be close to someone who cares.

He is still working on becoming housetrained and doing well. He’s about 85% there! He just needs to be taken out often and to a fenced yard. Charlie isn’t fond of doing his “business” on leash and loves running around his foster’s fenced yard.

**Charlie had a painful eye infection when rescued which has cleared.. It was discovered that his eyes don’t produce enough tears, and will be on eye mediations for life for dry eyes. Potential adopters need to understand this if interested in adopting Charlie. The cost is $50-$80 per month.
