CHARLIE's Story
Charlie is one of five puppies surrendered to rescue after an unexpected “oops” litter when a neighbor’s dog jumped a fence. He was born on December 12 to a 10-lb Chihuahua mix mom and a medium-sized mixed breed dad. A DNA test revealed that Charlie is half Chihuahua with 15 other breeds mixed in—making him a true “Heinz 57.”

Charlie is the largest of the litter and currently weighs 11 pounds at 3 months old. He is being fostered with his brother Bosco and sister Jujubee, and the three spend most of their days happily playing together. Charlie is very people- and dog-friendly, loves being held, and thrives on attention.

He is doing well learning to use potty pads and has a healthy appetite. Charlie has received his first puppy vaccination, has been dewormed, and will be neutered as part of his adoption.

Charlie is a happy, healthy puppy, and we would love to see him placed in a home with another puppy-friendly dog so he has a playmate and a role model as he grows.

If you would like to meet CHARLIE, or for more information, please email PetRescueOfMercer@gmail.com Applicants must live within 60min driving distance of Hamilton, NJ to be considered. A vet check will be conducted for each application and a solid vet history for current and past pets will be verified. All current animals in the home must be up to date on vaccinations and preventatives prior to the vet check.

Link to adoption application: https://www.petrescueofmercer.org/dogadoptionapp
