Charlie is an active, playful soul with a huge capacity for love and an incredible brain to match. Standing tall at approximately 34 inches (from the top of his head to the floor!) and sporting feet as big as a bear, this smart, active boy is ready to fill a big space in your home and your heart. He is a true canine genius that is fully house-trained (on a schedule and accidents will happen in the beginning) and excels at all his manners. He absolutely loves his walks, can expertly retrieve a ball until you're tired, and has mastered the essential commands of sit, lay down, give a paw, "leave it," and "stay." He adores his toys, kids, cats, and other dogs. Being a very active and big dog, Charlie absolutely requires a place to run and play, so a securely fenced yard is necessary. With my cats, he leaves two of them alone and only chases the cat that all my fosters chase. If the cat runs, he is going to chase it. This giant fluffball is big enough to be a great foot-warmer in your bed, but he is perfectly happy and comfortable sleeping on the floor. My grandkids (they are school aged and older) were here over the weekend and Charlie loved them. He played with them, slept with them, and even sat on them (right in their laps). He will be a great family dog.
