Charlie's Story

Charlie is approximately 6 months old and weighs approximately 30lbs.
He is great with other dogs and kids and is good with dog savvy cats.
Charlie sleeps in a crate at night in the same room as his foster parents and does well but doesn't like to be in it in the other room or when alone.
He is almost 100% housetrained.

Charlie is a very sweet and somewhat timid dog who lives for chest scratches and belly rubs. Although he's still young, he's quite a calm dog and not too high energy.
When he does get excited he's been learning to stay down and not jump on people.
He is great with kids, even young ones, and does not mouth or chew on people.
He's been great with the dogs he's met, although he barks a lot when he sees others from a distance. Charlie does like to bark a fair amount, often at his own reflection, or seemily nothing at all. He is currently staying in a kennel overnight and when his fosters are away for work to help with house training (which is going very well). He's fine in the kennel at night, but does not like being in it when people are gone.
He would very likely be just fine left loose in the house once he is fully housetrained.
Charlie is a very smart dog and learns quickly, but he will need training on the leash.
He also likes to grab things off counters - food or otherwise - so he will need continued training with that.
Overall he is a lovely dog who has some anxiety about being left alone. This smart boy will be sure to melt your heart when you meet him!
