Charlie's Story
Ready to fall in love? If you’re looking for a goofy sidekick who’s always up for an adventure, I’m your guy. ?

My name is Charlie and I’m here to steal your heart. My foster mommy found me hungry and thirsty, wandering the streets of Houston with a homeless man. He had found me tied to a pole at a gas station and took me with him for a few days. My foster mommy saw us together and offered us food and water. I was so hungry because I hadn’t eaten in two days! After I ate, she asked the kind man if he needed help with me, and he said, “Yes, please take him. I don’t have the means to care for him.” I was sad and cried for him, because he was the only love I knew for those few days. But when my foster mommy brought me home and opened the door, I saw a bunch of doggies waiting to play with me, and from that moment on, I never stopped smiling or giving her kisses.

I play all day with my foster siblings, big and small. There are two little ones who were tough to win over, but with patience (and lots of play), I earned their friendship. My foster mommy calls me a “chill boy.” She says sometimes she forgets I’m only 7 months old because I’m already super tall, and of course, very handsome. ?

And I’m already potty trained! My foster mom has these magic bells by the door. Every time I ring them to go outside, I get cookies. ? (Yes, the bells are coming with me when I move to your house! They’re pure magic!) I’m also crate trained and sleep well in my kennel.

I love meeting new people, I throw myself into their arms (sorry, I forget I’m already 52 lbs ?), and I’m great with kids. I eat like there’s no tomorrow because I didn’t know so much food even existed before.

My favorite playmate is Cassie, my mom calls her the Husky. I don’t know what “Husky” means, but I do know she’s the only one who can keep up with my crazy puppy energy!

Well, I’ve told you a lot about me… but what about you? I can’t wait to meet you, share our stories, and show you my best ball tricks (because I love balls!)? I’ll be here waiting, just let my foster mommy know when I can go home with you. I promise, you’re going to have the time of your life with me!

Love,
Charlie ?

Apply for Charlie below:

Texas application:
https://form.jotform.com/CLMR/TXAdoptApp

Out of state application:
https://form.jotform.com/CLMR/oos-adoptionapplication
