Charlie Siberian Husky Mix Wetmore, MI

Say hello to Charlie. This very pretty, sweet girl came to us with her 7 puppies after an owner surrendered. Her puppies are now on their way to their forever homes, and Charlie is now looking for hers. This 3-year-old gal is fun, loving, and very smart. She knows many commands like sit, stay, shake, down, and come and seems eager to learn more. She LOVES people and gets along with all 5 dogs in her foster home. She is a counter surfer and will try to steal food given a chance but could care less about snatching or munching on anything else. She will need continued training to stop this behavior, but she is improving. On a good note, she is super gentle, taking treats when they are offered to her. She is not crate train; she hates it. But her foster mom does not see that it's needed as long as all food is put away or out of reach. She met some cats at the vet and seemed curious but uncertain how she would act if the cat ran from her. She probably would be fine with kids, as she loves people, but older kids who understand she cannot just take food from them would probably be best because of her food obsession. . She loves walks and car rides, so her perfect home would be one where she is a valued part of the family and included in daily activities. One where she gets the love and attention she craves; she's pretty laid back for a husky and would be perfectly happy to be by your side 24/7. Charlie is a very loving, good girl! She will make a wonderful companion!

We do require a home visit and a veterinarian reference. Please contact your veterinarian to give them permission to release information to us. Once we have reviewed your application and received a favorable reference from your veterinarian, our adoption coordinator will contact you. Please be patient as this process could take several days.
