Charlie's Story

Charlie is a 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix with a laid-back personality and a heart full of love. He's the kind of dog who's happiest simply spending time with his people, whether that's relaxing around the house or heading out for a nice walk together. As he continues settling into foster care, his confidence grows every day, and it's been wonderful watching his personality start to shine.

Charlie is a good boy through and through. He's house trained, crate trained, and enjoys having a routine. He's currently working on polishing his leash manners and is making great progress with consistency and positive reinforcement. Charlie gets along with other dogs when introduced slowly and properly. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown.

Charlie is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment. If adopted during this time, Sloan & Finn Animal Rescue will continue to support and cover the remainder of his treatment. He is otherwise neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines.

Charlie would thrive in a patient home that will give him the time he needs to fully settle in and continue building his confidence. Once he feels safe, he's a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be part of the family. If you're looking for a calm, easygoing dog to share life's adventures with, Charlie may be the perfect fit.
Charlie is currently located in the Charlotte area and is ready to find his forever family.

His adoption fee is $350.

American Staffordshire Terrier
3 years old
UTD on vaccines
Neutered
Heartworm positive (treatment covered by rescue)
Dog friendly with slow introductions
Cat compatibility unknown
House trained
Crate trained
Working on leash manners

From Charlie:
Hi, I'm Charlie! Foster care has been a big adjustment, but everyone keeps telling me what a good boy I am. I love relaxing with my people, going for walks, and just hanging out together. I'm still getting comfortable and showing more of my personality every day. Right now I'm going through heartworm treatment, but don't worry, the rescue is taking great care of me while I heal. Once I'm feeling my best, I can't wait to go on all kinds of adventures with my forever family. Maybe that could be you?
