After waiting over a year, his dream came true when he was adopted in September 2024. Sadly, through no fault of his own, Charlie was returned to the shelter in August 2025. Now he's hoping for a second chance at the forever home he deserves. Despite everything, Charlie hasn't lost hope. Noah's Ark Animal Foundation's Adoption Policy

If you would like to adopt a cat or kitten(dog or puppy) from Noah’s Ark, an adoption counselor is available during open hours on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, other times by appointment. If you would like to schedule a visit, please call 641-472-6080 to schedule an appointment. The Adoption Application (in PDF format) may be completed at the shelter, emailed or faxed. Applications are processed in the order received. In order to hold the cat/kitten (dog/puppy) until the meet and greet, a completed approved application must be on file. If you are traveling from out of town to Fairfield and desire a same day adoption, please submit your completed application at least one day in advance of your visit. We want every adoption to be successful. In the event that you are unable to care for the cat/kitten (dog/puppy), it is shelter policy that you return the animal to Noah’s Ark in Fairfield, Iowa.
