Charlie's Story

Hi, I’m Charlie — a 3-year-old black Lab weighing about 65 pounds. I’ve had a rough start in life, so I’m still learning what it really means to be a dog. Thankfully, my amazing foster parents are helping me discover all the good things life has to offer!

I can be a little shy at first, so slow and gentle introductions are best. But once I feel comfortable, I’m all in — I’m a total Velcro dog who loves to cuddle and stay close to my favorite humans. If you’re looking for a best friend who wants to be by your side (or in your lap — personal space not included!), I might be your guy.

I’d love an active home where I can be your adventure buddy, but I also enjoy relaxing and soaking up affection. I can be selective about my dog friends, so I’ll need to meet any potential furry siblings first to make sure we’re a good match. A fenced-in yard would be ideal so I can run and play safely.

The good news? I’m already house-trained and crate-trained, and I’m continuing to work on my house manners every day.

If you’re patient, loving, and ready for a loyal companion who will stick by you through it all, I can’t wait to meet you!
If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
