Charlie's Story
Meet Charlie!
Sweet black lab boy just turned 1 year old in Oct/Nov.

He's very sweet and would thrive to be in a somewhat active home, as any Labrador would!

He has lived with an older male dog for the past year (all his life) but recently, as he's become a teenager in dog years, wants to be the alpha male and it's just too much for the older dog (12 years).

He is not neutered but will be! (and will get done a very discounted cost, current owner offered to pay also)

Once spayed or neutered it usually helps calm the crazy hormones, in males and females, as we've experienced this with both.
It's not instant and always perfect but from our Rescue's experience it's helped a lot.

We are hoping to find him a new home or foster home and get him settled before he is neutered so he can be in a calmer way to recover.

It would be great to possibly start with a pet free home, or be adopted/fostered by someone who is experienced with commom behaviors like this in dogs. It's workable and trainable, like all dogs (as none are perfect), it just takes time, love, and patience.

He's a bit nervous with new people. He is still so young and things are still so new.

He has lived with 3 cats all his life! He likes to chase and play and then snuggle for naps with them. He hasn't really been around young children, only an 11 year old and he was fine.

The current owner is involved and Charlie is still with them, but are hoping to find a loving home/foster for him as soon as possible, as their older dog (and family) is not doing well with the stress.

This is a rehoming situation so our standard adoption fee does NOT apply.
We will require he be neutered, if it's not done prior. We will assist to get it done at our vet in Middlebury.

Please reach out today. You can email or text us and we can connect you with the owner and assist in a meet & greet or in any way needed.

pawsitiveconnection2023@gmail.com

802-382-0081
(text preferred)

If you want to fill out our application to at least provide aome basic information about yourself that would be great, but we can connect you with the owner first if you prefer.

application link:https://airtable.com/appV5pXp3DhFrF6ih/shrx6XhGytB9TIrE6
