Meet Charlie
Charlie is a 7/8 year old Silky Terrier. He is generally a happy and loving pup, but he recently has been becoming protective of his home. He gets along with other dogs for the most part, but should be supervised with with other dogs.
He is a nervous dog, and needs people to go slow with him. Once he trusts you he'll follow you around everywhere, but it takes some patience and work to get to that point.
He needs an experienced adopter, with a calm household. He does best in a single person home, but can be in an all female or all male household (no female/male household). Also, no kids for Charlie!
He has recently started to have bouts of aggression when people enter the home, and has been seeing a behaviorist about it. He is fine with people in public.
Charlie walks great on a leash, though has occasional leash aggression, and is very treat motivated. His trainer has had success with him though positive reinforcement training.
He has a collapsed trachea and he coughs when hes being active. He also has dry eye, so he gets eye drops.
