Charlie's Story

Meet Charlie, the kind of dog who makes you smile the moment you see him. This handsome boy came to us as a stray, but you would never guess it from his friendly, playful personality. Charlie’s signature grin says it all; he’s full of joy, ready for adventure, and eager to find a family who will adore him.

Charlie gets along well with most dogs, though he can be a little choosy about his friends. A meet and greet can help make sure everyone gets along perfectly, but for the right pup pals, he’s a great companion. His energy and sweet demeanor mean he’ll fit well into a home that enjoys a playful, loving dog who also appreciates a cozy snuggle after playtime.

We think Charlie may be a Labrador Retriever mix, though his longer fur hints at a livestock guardian breed, perhaps a Pyrenees, giving him a unique, majestic look. No matter his exact mix, one thing is certain: he’s sweet, loving, and ready to bring joy to the right family. He loves to play, explore, and share his affection, and he’s the kind of dog who makes every day brighter.

Charlie is ready to find his forever home, and we know that once you meet him, you’ll fall in love. If your home is ready for a loyal, fun-loving companion with a grin that melts hearts, come meet Charlie. He’s waiting to become the newest member of a family who will love him endlessly.

Charlie weighs 62 pounds at a year old. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested negative for heartworm disease in shelter.

Located at the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter in Brownsville, Tennessee. The adoption fee is $75. We have no pull fee and can help arrange transport for local 501c3 rescue groups. If interested in this dog please call 731-772-2908, we would love to hear from you! In order to adopt a pet from us, you must fill out an adoption application for the animal you are interested in, and be approved. Once you are approved, you will be allowed to come visit the animal you are interested in, and make a decision. All animals are required to be spayed/nuetered upon adoption. NO exceptions.
