Charlie's Story
12/30/08 Charlie is a beautiful 7 month old Chocolate Lab. He currently weighs about 38 lbs but we expect him to continue to grow and put on weight becoming a large sized dog in the future. Charlie's story is a sad start to life. We think when Charlie was just a little puppy his owner tied a rope around his neck and never checked that rope again. As Charlie grew up, the rope became very tight and when he was eventually found the rope was so tight it had to be surgically removed. Charlie sustained a 1-inch gash around his neck but has been treated by the vet and started healing. Charlie is also up to date on his shots and will be neutered on January 5th.

Charlie is very loving and seems to like the company of people. Charlie is not in a home with other dogs or cats and we are unsure at this time how he does with other animals. He deserves a fresh start to be a happy, energetic lab puppy. A home with a fenced yard is preferred as Charlie will be a large dog and will want lots of exercise, preferable chasing a Frisbee! We will continue to provide updates on Charlie as we learn more about him. If you are interested in adopting, fostering or donating to Charlie's vet bill, please contact us.

01/06/08 Charlie found a new home.
