CharLee's Story
Meet “CharLee”….the 2.5yro Great Dane.

She is up to date on immunizations, heartworm/flea preventative and has been spayed and pexied.

CharLee is house trained, potty trained, and does well in the crate for short periods of time. CharLee has completed basic training with Westport Trainer, Mandy Vexler, of Your Polite Pup, in addition to private socialization/group play therapy with Todd Brown, of Dog Gone Smart. CharLee knows “Sit” “Go to your bed” “Leave It” and “Back” (recall) on a functional level and continues to work on them daily. She knows “stay” when you are within sight and “down” (lay down position) well but hesitates due to surfaces and her size. CharLee walks on a well on a leash but demonstrates reactivity when she sees dogs, and requires additional training.

CharLee is full grown at 120lbs and 42” tall.

In her foster home Charlee demonstrates food and toy possession. She can also be territorial and guard people and places but does not demonstrate this elsewhere. She would do best in a home as an only dog or in a home with another dog her size and an owner with Dane experience.

CharLee socializes well with other dogs outside of the home, attends play groups 3-5x a week.

Charlee has been exposed to cats as well as chickens, and should not be placed in a home with them.

CharLee is an active dog and loves to play, hike, socialize, and walk. She is also loves to hang by your side and cuddle.

CharLee is not looking for a foster home, she is looking for her FOREVER HOME.
If you think you may be CharLee’s person, please apply so we can discuss further.
Local adoption in CT only.

If you know of someone or just really want to help CharLee out…PLEASE SHARE her story and help her find her forever home.
