Chap's Story

Meet Chap!

Boy oh boy has this boy been through it!!

Chap was a fan favorite in Upson County. When his day came, we just couldn't stand the thought of dedicated volunteers suffering another heartbreak, so we said send him on up - even though the last thing in the world we needed was a 70 lb black pittie mix (black dog syndrome is real!). But wow are we so glad we saved him!

Not long after we got Chap up to Atlanta, a kind woman reached out to the lead volunteer at the shelter. It turns out she had actually rescued Chap in Griffin! He had been wandering her neighborhood and surrounding areas on his own for quite some time. She took him in and found his owner who quite rudely explained they absolutely did not want Chap back. Determined to keep Chap safe, his guardian angel found him what was supposedly a loving home. Well, apparently that person decided to dump him too because he ended up in Upson County shelter as a stray.

Now that all of those trials and tribulations are behind him, Chap is ready to find his real true FOREVER HOME! Not only is he amazing with all other dogs - he has a special talent for helping the puppies - but he's also so very sweet and LOVES toys! The woman who originally found him also said he was absolutely wonderful with her 4 and 9 yr old children.

So who's ready to show this amazing and resilient boy what true love really is? Rescue Me Ga Inc's Adoption Policy
We have an application process that we require for any adoption. The application can be found on our website at www.rmgdogs.org - its the first step in our process and required before we set up a time for you to meet the dog you are interested in …. ALL of our dogs are completely vetted - all vaccines - spay or neuter - dewormings - chip - heart worm tested and treated if needed and ready to be loved. WE are foster based which means our dogs are in homes or temporary boarding when we rescue them -- we know their personalities and what would be their best fit! Our dogs come from a rural Georgia shelter and often we take in surrenders from families facing difficult situations….. WE do post many dogs still in need at animal control as well as all who have been saved already that are in foster homes. We do NOT operate a facility where you can visit the dogs unless you contact us to possibly meet one already in a foster

Chap is from Rescue Me Ga Inc
