She has a sweet and friendly personality with a calm and curious nature. Most days you will find Chantilly relaxing in cozy spots around the home, quietly observing everything going on around her.<br/><br/>When she is not lounging, Chantilly enjoys chewing on hard toys, snacking on beef or salmon treats, and taking plenty of puppy naps. She has a gentle, well mannered temperament and does well with both kids and other dogs. She would make a wonderful family dog or a loyal companion for someone looking for an easygoing, affectionate pup.<br/><br/>Despite being a young dog, Chantilly is already quite the homebody and prefers staying close to her people rather than wandering off. She is receptive to crate training, not an escape artist, and a quick learner who is already picking up basic commands and making great progress with house training.<br/><br/>Chantilly’s story began with a bit of heartbreak. She was previously adopted and even taken to be spayed, but unfortunately her adopter never returned to pick her up after surgery. Thankfully, Hero Dog Rescue stepped in and placed her in a loving foster home where she is now safe and thriving.<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. <br/><br/>Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. <br/><br/>Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog.
