Chancey's Story

**Chancey is a manager approval adoption. These adoptions can only be completed Tuesday-Friday from 1-4 PM, but Chancey can still be played with on the weekends!**

Meet Chancey!
This oh-so-sweet girl is a 1 year old spayed Lab/Pit bull mix. She's actually a familiar face around here, as she first came to the shelter back in July! Chancey has spent the past semester at Colby Vet Tech, helping train the new vet tech students. Now that the semester is over, she is back on the search for a forever home!
Chancey first came to us as a stray, so we unfortunately don't know much about her past. She was brought in with another dog and a cat, and did well with them. In Colby, they said that she got along with most dogs, but sometimes she didn't seem to be in the mood to play. We've tested here with another dog since she's been back at the shelter, and she was very excited to have a buddy again! We always recommend a meet and greet with any pets in the home prior to adoption to make sure Chancey is the right dog for you.
Being only a year old, Chancey has LOTS of energy! She will definitely need an owner willing to help her burn some of that off. Once you get her wiggles out, though, Chancey is a very snuggly girl and will definitely want to nap right next to you. She is extremely loving, and is the type of dog that is only truly happy when getting attention.
Chancey doesn't seem to have been trained much in the past, and isn't housebroken. She also doesn't respond to commands yet. She's very smart, and will be easily trained once someone dedicates some time to her, but it is going to take some work.
Chancey is really such a sweet dog, and she deserves to finally get out of a kennel and back into a loving home! She is fully up to date on her vaccinations and is officially ready to live the good life. So if you think Chancey could be the dog for you, come in and meet her today!
