Chancellor's Story

Hi, I’m Chancellor

I’m a happy, affectionate boy who just loves being part of the family. I’ve done wonderfully with everyone I’ve met — kids, teens, adults, and even visiting relatives. I’m social, confident, and very people-oriented. If there are pets being handed out, I will absolutely make sure I’m included!

I live with other dogs and all I really want to do is play. I have great dog manners — I don’t bully, I respect boundaries (even when another dog growls), and I happily adjust my energy depending on my playmate. I would thrive in a home with another playful dog, but I’d also be happy soaking up all the attention myself.

I’m house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained. I’m still learning my name and polishing up commands like sit and stay, but I’m eager to please and very food motivated, which makes training fun and effective. On leash, I’m manageable and not overly strong. I may bark occasionally or show interest in a rabbit, but I’m easy to redirect.

At home, I’m what you might call a “Velcro” boy — I love being close to my people. Sometimes that means I get right into your personal space on the couch, but it’s all part of my enthusiastic, loving personality. I sleep happily in a dog bed (or yours, if you’ll let me!) and settle nicely after playtime.

I have a high energy level but mellow beautifully after exercise. Daily walks plus playtime with another dog keep me happy and balanced. I’m comfortable in the car, tolerate baths well, and don’t show any major fears (though the vacuum isn’t my favourite).

Chancellor would do wonderfully in an active family home — especially one with children and/or another dog to play with. He’s affectionate, adaptable, and ready to be someone’s loyal shadow.

If you’re looking for a joyful, social companion who just wants to love and be loved, Chancellor is ready to step into that role.

Chancellor was born approximately February 2023.
