Chance's Story
Meet Chance!!! He is a 6-year-old large-breed gentleman weighing around 80 lbs who’s ready for his next chapter. He’s a friendly, easygoing guy with a big love for toys and a solid foundation of good manners—he already knows “sit” and enjoys engaging with his people. Chance would benefit from a healthy feeding and exercise plan to help him feel his best, and he seems more than happy to join you for daily walks or playtime.

His past foster homes have nothing but great things to say about him, describing Chance as social, playful, cuddly, and overall fairly calm for a dog his size. He enjoys companionship and would love a home where he can soak up attention and be part of everyday life. We recommend that all family members meet Chance prior to adoption to make sure everyone starts off comfortable and connected.

When it comes to other dogs, Chance appears to have preferences, and we’re hoping to learn more about that during his stay with us. He may be able to live with another dog, but we’d like to do a meet-and-greet at the shelter to ensure it’s a good match. In his next home, Chance would also benefit from a refresher on a consistent potty schedule, which should help him settle in smoothly and set him up for success.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
