Chance's Story

Meet Chance!

Chance is a 6-year-old, 70-pound friendly guy who is ready to find his forever home. He came to us from a shelter in Florida and has been patiently waiting since 1/22/2026 for a family who will appreciate his gentle, social nature. Chance is outgoing and affectionate, quickly making friends with people he meets and showing off the kind of easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around.

Chance would do well in a home with children of all ages, as long as everyone is comfortable with a strong, loving dog. He has done well meeting other dogs at the shelter, and adopters with resident dogs should plan a meet-and-greet to ensure a smooth introduction. Establishing a routine in his new home will help Chance feel confident and settled as he adjusts to his family.

Chance is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives—ready to start the next chapter of his life. If you’re interested in meeting him or learning more, please reach out to an adoption counselor by phone at (517) 626-6060 or email at adoptions@adoptlansing.org. After waiting since January, Chance is more than ready to find a loving family to call his own.
