Found at just 6 weeks old, the sole survivor of a parvo-stricken litter dumped behind a daycare, Chance beat the odds—but lost his chance at a normal puppyhood. His early weeks were spent in hospitals and quarantine, missing critical socialization. While he learned to trust his rescuers, he stayed fearful of strangers, and time passed him by.<br/><br/>But something amazing happened. Chance blossomed.<br/>With the help of his best friend, Chula, he learned how to walk on leash, explore, play, and even let new people near. He adores running beside a golf cart, exploring the yard, and spending sunny days playing with toys and Chula in the rescue’s exercise area.<br/><br/>Chance is housetrained (never soils his kennel), playful, affectionate once he feels safe, and so deserving of a real home after a decade of waiting.<br/><br/>His Ideal Home:<br/><br/>Quiet, adult-only home (no small children, cats, or small dogs)<br/><br/>Fenced yard to play and explore<br/><br/>A calm, confident companion dog—Chula would be perfect!<br/><br/>Patient adopter willing to give him time and love<br/><br/>Chula is also older and well-behaved in a home setting, making them an incredible pair. While we know it's rare to adopt two seniors, we’re offering a reduced adoption fee if you take them both—$300 total.
