Champion's Story

Meet Champion: A Smart, Loyal Boy Ready for His Person Champion was born approximately 2020 and is a truly special dog who is looking for a patient, understanding adopter to help him write his next chapter. Rescued from a difficult hoarding situation, Champion spent his early life with very little socialization. Because of this, the world can still feel a bit overwhelming to him. He is not a dog who will jump into a stranger's arms right away—it takes time and patience for him to acclimate to new people. But for the person willing to put in that time, the reward is unmatched. Champion is incredibly smart, highly trainable, and intensely loyal once he knows you are his safe haven. Champions Perfect Match: An Adult-Only Home: Because of his background and need for a predictable environment, Champion needs a home without children. A Quiet, Low-Traffic Environment: A calm household where he won't be constantly bombarded by new faces or loud noises. A Patient Leader: Someone who understands that trust is earned, and who is excited to bond with a clever, devoted dog through training and routine. Champion has so much potential and a deep capacity for loyalty. He just needs one person to give him the time he deserves to show it.

Pet Tender Angels Rescue and Rehabilition's Adoption Policy
We require an application or phone interview(if you can not get on a computer) before making an appointment to come visit the shelter. The application does not obligate you to anything but gives us a little better information as to what would be a good match for you and provides us with contact information in the event of a change to appointment. Once you have met the dog and want to pursue...we will do a wellness visit with the dog at our vet and schedule a homevisit where we will bring the dog to your home to meet any other pets in the home and to see how the dog does in your environment to give you better insite into what you will be working with. If the homevisit goes well, the adoption is finalized.
