Champ's Story

Meet Champ — a 4-month-old shepherd mix who truly lives up to his name.

Champ is an incredibly sweet, loving boy who absolutely adores people and thrives on affection. He’s happiest when he’s getting pets, praise, and quality time with his humans. Smart and eager to please, Champ is highly trainable and ready to soak up everything you’re willing to teach him.

As a growing shepherd mix, Champ is expected to become a large dog and will do best in an active household that can keep up with his body and brain. Like any puppy, he’ll need continued guidance with potty training, leash training, basic obedience, and proper socialization — but with his loving nature and intelligence, he’s off to a great start.

Champ is the kind of dog who will be deeply loyal to his people and shower them with affection in return. Foothills Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adopting a pet at Foothills Animal Rescue is a simple process, and we have a dedicated staff of Adoption Counselors to help you through the procedure. How to adopt at FAR: Currently under Covid 19 protocols You can view our pets online and make an appointment to meet them. Get to know our pets. Enjoy our meet and greet room where you can spend individual time to play, pet or just sit with them. Converse with our adoption counselors about our pets, our adoption process and what to expect during the first few days. Some of our pets may need a family or dog introduction before able to adopt based on specific observations made at the sheer environment. Once you've decided to adopt, our pets are able to go home usually that same day. They are already neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Enjoy your lifetime of unconditional love.
